Swap tires on wheels?

Question; due to my obvious drop, camber wear is creaping up. It's been about a year, and there is still tread, but it's maybe got 3-4 more months on the inside 1-1.5". I was thinking about having the tires puleld from the wheels, and swapped with the wheel on the other side. Like rotating your wheels to the other side, but just the rubber. This would give the good rubber on the inside, and the worn rubber on the outside, almost doubling the life of the tire right?

I can't see anything that would physically prevent this from being feasible, but has anyone else done this? If so where and how much?

I had it done with my previous wheels/tires. Same ones you have!
I had it done at discount tires, and they remounted and balanced the fronts for $15. My rears were fine.

It works out fine, but the tires look like shit when the bald spot is on the outside.

If you still have the Kumho 712's, that's a directional tire.

As long as you keep the tread going in the correct direction, I think you should be fine.

Right, that's why I can't just turn them around on the same wheel. Have to go to the other side.

I guess I will see what they will charge at discount here. Last time I had them fix a nail hole, it looked as if they could barely gett he tire off the wheel, so I am a little concerned over wheel damage.

i had my 712's remounted on the other side, It gave me another 5-10k miles and several autox days. I was charged 70 bucks, because they have to unmount, mount and rebalance them with new weights.

I did that on my stock wheels/tires (the kumhos') last year before I put snow tires on them for this year. Even though I only lowered it 1.5", I still had uneven wear on the inside. I only had them on for a few months though, so I counldn't tell ya if it worked well. It should be fine though.
