Suspension issues???

sup guys,

just have a question for you. i have a 1.5 inch prokit drop on my car, with stock rims. what size of tires and wheels would i have to get in order to reduce the gap between the tire and fender? the reason i got a 1.5 inch drop was because i wouldn't have to get a camber kit. however, a couple centimeters more wouldn't hurt. would 17 inch rims with tires decrease the gap? or would it be about the same? thanks! any of you have this problem?

I basically have the same car with the same problem. If you go to 17" with a 215/40/17 you still have the same circumference of wheel and tire. The things is it doesn't look like the same gap because of the rim is larger. You could get 17" with 50's or 18" with 45's tires on it. You cant beat the pro kit for ride and I no camber adjustments to perform. I am still not sure what size I am going to get. I am sure someone will know more about this than me and can show you some pics.

dont increase the overall diameter or you tires, your speedo will be off, and the gearling will make your car slower to accelerate. and braking force would be reduced as well.

if you go to whalentire.com pic out your rims size and tires and it wil tell you how much your speedo will be off by.....it really isn't a whole lot. 1 mph at the most.

i hope someone else can post more info. on the 17's or 18's issue cause I am also undecided.....I'll prob. get 18's but with what tires to go w the Pro kits?

everything they have is in reason, i am saying that 225/50 17 would be a bad thing on our cars.

where can i get a set of these pro kit springs? i was seriously considering not lowering my CL, because of the problems i had with my civic.(including camber kit) but if i could find these for a decent price, and your speaking from experience about not having any problems or having to get a camber kit, then i might go ahead and do it.

They are Eibach Pro-kits. you can find them about any where, do some hunting around or, use the search function to find a thread about the cheapest price.
