the stupid inline fan motor that they are trying to claim 30hp from it is BULLSHIT

spend some real money on a real supercharger like some folks on here like 2nd gen RedRider, the 6 speed supercharger and many others

spend the money and get what you pay for

you do realize all superchargers are universal right? Same w/ turbo chargers it's just a matter of making all the brackets and such to make them fit.

Good call VXCL. Not many people want their cars to have 300hp for practicality reasons. My f22 with a turbo would make me happy

I think most everyone here on this board would drive a turbo'd f22 without complaining too much

I can see boosting a basically stock motor, but I laugh at people I see trying to make f22's sup 13 second cars. See what i'm saying? Personally I still think a turbo f22 is a pretty gutless car, but it does help greatly

clpower, im gonna have to call you out on that one too bro. The f22/23 is perfect for turbo. They make around 220whp on 10 psi and the compression is lower than all the dohc vtecs. Plus whats the big deal if you blow the motor, oh no, get a new one for less than 500 bucks Swap an h22 in there for 2000-2500 then turbo it, and if you blow that, what are you gonna due? This is mainly why i'm leaning towards turboing my motor now instead of the h22 swap. Plus the fact that when you sell the car you just take the turbo kit off and bam! Plus you can take it off to pass smog too. Soo many benefits over the h22 swap.

(but believe me if i had the money id go h22 then turbo.)

h22 will pass smog no problem. As you must of missed me saying, I agree a turbo is fun on one. But if you start digging into internals etc your money would be better spent on the h22, etc.

If money is an option I see going to the f22 and building it, but personally i'd put the money into an h22 and it'd be a lot more reliable. As you know and so do I a h22 is not 2K. They can be had for less, blocks are abundant if you blow one. Everything has costs though and I see what you are saying.

H22 will only pass smog if you buy the expensive slow ones It has to be the same year or new to pass smog and then you have to go with the obd2 h22 which is slower.

Yeah, i know what your saying, the h22 has alot more potential, but as far as reliability goes, i haven't heard too many good things about ludes. Of course it's different when they are fully built, but i've heard a lot of bad things about the ringlands and other bs

sorry for taking soo long but im trying to get some pics, and yes its a 4 BANGER, my dream is to go turbo, but i have 140000 miles, and i dont if it is safe for my motor, even if i run low 6-8psi, im thinkin if i get a thicker head gasket, it might help, but again this is my daily driver, what do you guys think i should do, turbo or Nitrous?????????????????????

LOL with 140k on your car (i have 137 so i know what its like) nitrous OR a turbo will blow your shit to pieces. They still run and it may seem like its doin ok, but i assure you after you put either of those on say bye bye to your engine. Unless you refurb the engine a bit, but that just mo' money

Yeah, I have a feeling up to some degree it will work, because u are blowing more air into the intake. Now the amount of HP you gain I dunno. It is expensive though. I wouldn't pay that much for it.

The 'supercharger' is nothing more than a leaf blower. Go buy a 50 dollar leaf blower and rig it up, it'll do the same thing for ya.

Yeah right now it sux, I looked around and found a link

http://www.vintagebus.com/howto/e-ram/

1977 911 targa with a 3.6L C2 engine gain on that car was like:
1-2 hp with some torque. Who know some large company like AEM and such might develop one that actaually works. But just still and wait for it. I don't trust the leafblower ones on ebay nor the e-ram crap. For the amount they ask might as well get a real belt driven supercharger or exhaust driven tubro.

welcome to the board. the f22 is the name for the 2.2 engine in our cls. f23 is the 2.3 liter and the h22 is the prelude 2.2 dohc motor.

They do make a real one. Its called a supercharger. Leaf blower motors are a joke. You could never have a fan push enough air to give your engine even 5 extra psi. Plus if you did the thing would be huge and use way way too much power than your battery would be wanting to give if you want to start your car again. Having a belt driven supercharger is the only thing you can do to increase PSI besides turbo. Fans DONT work

Yeah they only advertise to give 1 psi. But not worth the 400 even if it comes out to be the truth.

that's exactly where i think im headed. if my trade for the type r doesnt go, im gonna turbo this bitch. when are u going to do it? i think a turbo will be more practical for me right now... if something goes wrong, you can just take it off and that's it. you cant do that with an engine swap.

no, i haven't heard or seen him post in a long ass time. I was kinda thinking the same thing, but he probably just sold the CL and got something else.

jamolie-i'm working my ass off right now to get enough money for my turbo kit. Probably gonna go with the drag kit. I got school and golf practice monday-friday so the only time i can work is friday nights then sat and sun. and i'm working 8-9 hours fri-sun! so i figure i'll have enough in a month or two. BTW-working @ Home Depot :ghey: but hey $10 an hour ain't bad for a kid i guess.

Then the h22 pops back into mind every once in a while. I change my mind alot so nothings for sure except that my CL will be faster in less than 2 months I would like to go with an H22 but i really can't find them for that cheap anymore. You can get an h22 over 200whp n/a pretty easily, whereas we won't be making much more with the turbo kit on our motor. But we get cool points for BOV and front mount IC
