but what engine does the 97-99 (1st gen) CL have? I've seen 2.2, 2.3, and 3.0. Are they DOHC? Are they H22 or H23's? I know the 3.0 is the V6 same as the Accord.

Can anyone inform me? I am just curious.


Also, is anyone selling their stock rims? The chrome 5-spoke split ones? Thanks.

 

they are all single cam. the 2.2 and 2.3 are called f22 and f23 not sure about 3.0.
2.2-2.3=150hp 152tq, comes in auto or stick
3.0=200hp 195 tq, comes in auto only

Don't Preludes have a 5 bolt rim?
If so, then our 1st gen rims won't fit your car, we're 4 bolt.
The CL Type S rims that you have are nice though.

 

Yeah, that's why I was able to put the CL-S rims on it. I love those rims (5 spoke). I'm waiting for the Acura's (any of them) to come in 18's, so I won't have to buy aftermarket wheels. As it is I only want to buy 19" wheels.

As for the 1st gen wheels, they are for my friend's 98 Accord. He needs a set to replace his ugly-a$$ stock covers. Plus, those are much nicer than 15" SI wheels. At least they are stock 16's.

 

The 3.0 is j30a; and it has 2 cams (one cam for each bank of 3 cylinders).

No, it's SOHC. Each bank has a single cam (SOHC), but there are 2 banks on a V6.

A DOHC V6 has 4 cams.
