godammit i keep swapping the names (strut and sway). but thanks, just wanted to see how visible they were.. i actually like the color. im thinking of adding a blue element to my car, valve cover and other accents for a blue/black theme.
does anyone have a picture of a rear strut installed? cant find anything in search

thanks chris for all the info and helping me search. thats a great price for both!! and i was also wondering how it would look, but since i'm dropped then maybe you won't be able to see it..perhaps if i do end up getting them, i can just sand them down and paint them black so it won't stick out as much! thanks again man!

instead of sanding em down, you could cover them with a rubber type coating, like Plasti-dip.. it adheres to any surface. Bimmer guys i used to role with use it to black out chrome trim.

chris you should definitly consider a Skunk 2 lower arm bar.
heres the picture of the custom accord LCA's i was talking about. and wow would i love to get my hands on that cusco lower tie bar. and please no commenting on the goddamned picaku. i feel like this is such a somewhat constructive thread.

im either gonna polish the LCA's (when i get them) or spray them red. i have a connection in the Bay Area on Hondasociety.com that can get custom LCA's for the Accord suspension. they look 20x better then the megan ones. i can get a picture of them installed later if anyone is interested.

Thicker tie bars make it a little stiffer in the rear, Matt, I already have a lower tie bar, just haven't installed it yet. Matt I WANT those LCA's

ASR do not make a subframe brace for the accord and they are pretty much the only company that makes a subframe brace. the ASR brace is mostly for bling and only functionable when it is used with a sway bar.
people with EG hatches for example that come stock with NO sway and have an ASR brace are posers.

it wouldnt fit, our subframe is a little smaller than civics and integras. i know this because Skunk 2 accidently sent me a lower arm bar for an integra and the thing was huge. our LCA's are alot longer though.
a subframe brace wouldnt work for us because our sway bar is postioned differently therefore it wouldnt bolt up to the brace itself.

Energy Suspension Polyurethayne Bushing Set (Black)
Ingalls Front Ball Joint Camber Kit
Ingalls Rear Washer Camber Kit
D2 Coilovers (waiting for new spring rates)
NRG Upper Front Strut Brace
Cusco Lower Front Strut Brace
Drifting Performance Rear Lower Tie Bar
Suspension Techniques Front and Rear Sway Bars
The only part I don't have is a Rear Upper Strut Bar
Or you can get a C-pillar or floor brace (both which I think are useless)
Aside from doing an EDFC I don't really know of many other suspension parts you can get for our cars, aside from new control arms.

as long as we're on the topic of strut bars, i was wondering if i will be better off switching to an aftermarket front upper strut bar or if i stayed stock.
the stock one seems thick, but it doesnt connect the struts, but rather the engine bay... im not sure if i should go aftermarket and get something that will hold the actual struts together... need some facts please. =)

Megan's coilovers are built by the same taiwanese (or chinese) company that builds Apexi, D2, and some other company's coilovers. Megan Racing also works with companies like Enjuku Racing, Jasper Racing, Drift Alliance and Drift Association developing products. I've read bad and good reviews in regards to their headers and what not. But when it comes to their suspension, I haven't really come across a thread that says otherwise. That's why I went with them.
Although I'd like to see these tie rods and lower control arms track tested before throwing them on my car. Or at least read some reviews on it. I think I'll do some homework on these and post any helpful info I come across.

the stock one is not thick, it's thin bent aluminum, it's junk, doesn't even connect to the struts of the car

It connects to the firewall for additional strength. If you can find an aftermarket one like so, I'd go with it.
In my opinion, yes, I'd replace your stock one with a solid one.

I may not be active, but I do glance by in hopes of coming across something new. These tie rods and control arms definetely have my attention.
Thanks for the info Matt.
(also, when I stated I'd like to see the product track tested, I meant by consumers. I'm not saying that they haven't done so if they have.)

Strut bars are used to take pressure off of one side, and distributed to the other. It makes both strut towers work like 1 solid piece as oppose to 2. Doing so, results in less flex, which in turn gives you more grip during cornering by keeping the wheels in position.
Slammed cars don't function at the tracks unless you have double wishbone suspension.
