Strange 'road' noise at 40 & 60mph from the left front...HELP!!!!!
Hello all,
I have a 99 3.0 CL and ever since I replaced OEM tires, I have had a strange oscillating/repeating road noise at 40 mph...(kind of like a 'whupwhupwhupwhupwhup'.) Very quiet but I notice it. I went to a dealer and he told me I had a bent rim. I replaced both front rims as they were both slightly bent. I also got new tires on the front (Conti CH95 touring) and there is still the same exact noise on the left front!! Now there is a similar noise at 60mph. At 50 and 70 there is no noise.
I switched tires on the front and the noise is still only in the front left. The car does not vibrate at at all and I had it aligned and still the same exact noise.
My father has the same exact car with the same Continental tires and similar mileage with no noise.
I had several mechanics and dealers ride with me and nobody knows what the hell this noise it. Different tire brands, different rims. Maybe its not a tire issue?
ANY SUGGESTIONS!!
Thanks
