Strange gas smell

Alright, I did search for this but nothing seemed to quite fit the description I was looking for. When I have my car on for about 20 minutes with the AC on recirculate I begin to get a strange sweet gasoline like smell from I assume the vents. It isn't as bad when you pull in fresh air, but it is still there. This isn't the musty sour smell people complain about either. It can be smelled very strongly coming from underneath the car, but not so much under the hood. It isn't the typical smell of motor oil, antifreeze, or exhaust one might smell when you first start up your car. The smell makes you feel sick and dizzy quickly which in turn causes me to have to turn off the AC and let some of the unpleasant 100+ degree air in. Any suggestions guys?

Are you sure it's not antifreeze that you are smelling? Antifreeze has a sweet but nauseating smell especially when heated. When you run your car for 20 minutes, the coolent gets hot and the pressure will build up in the coolent system. If you have a pinhole leak in the heater core, it will start to leak and you will start smelling the hot antifreeze. You can test for leaks by attaching a coolent pressure tester to the radiator filler neck and pressurize the cooling system. If the gauge starts to drop within a few minutes after appying the pressure, you have a leak. Your auto tech can do this test.

It's is possible that it isn't coming out of the vents but just seems to be because when I recirculate the air it becomes much more noticable.
