Stock Shocks and Eibach Sportline Springs

Well, since the site went offline it seems that my original post was lost. Basically, I was asking how the ride and height would be for my 98 CL 2.3 would be with Eibach Sportline Springs and stock shocks. I finally had them installed and the pics are up. The only problem I noticed is after a week, I notice a weird squeaking sound over minor bumps. Hopefully it's nothing serious. Other than that I really like the way it looks now and it corners really well. I plan on getting Koni's yellows put on and maybe this will solve the weird sounds I am hearing. Then replacing the tires so I won't screech so much when cornering hard.

it would have been so much cheaper to do ur shocks and springs at the same time. also now ull prob blow ur stock shocks so u cant put them back on when u sell the car. im currently saving for koni yellows and pro kits now. so hopefully dec/ jan it will be done. also ur car looks good and im going to add u to my cl links. http://members.home.net/vx16/acuracls.htm

VXCL is right, It is a lot cheaper to do it the same time, now you will pay double for labor. I have that set up, pro kits and yellows. It is nice. It lowered over 2 inches, you can barely get your finger in between the tire and fender, looks "slammed". If you do go this route tell them to put the spring seat adjustment on the low setting if you want it lower. Trust me get the yellows they are by far the best shock made and are fun to mess with the adjustment.

trust me do them together or you will bust your shocks causing more damage and $$$ youd ever expect... I have sportlines and they settle an easy 2" or more... A good combo is Tokiko shocks w/ eibachs

Did you do your install yourself? I think that is the only way to save money. I am running only the prokit with my stock struts. I've been running them for 2 years with no problems. Your car is lower though and from reading posts, I would agree with all of the replies so far. Guess I've been lucky, but I want to upgrade them eventually. I will do the work myself. Save me the labor costs.

Any reason why you didn't choose the adjustable TOKICO Illuminas? And yes, I will eventually change my shocks in about a month.

Thanks, that'd be cool to be in your links. Yeah, I was just too impatient to wait until I had the money for the shocks as well. Plus, I figure I'm helping the economy.

No, I had a shop install them. The guy I bought them from had the springs installed on his Accord for at least a year and his shocks didn't blow out. So hopefully, when I get the Konis in a month, my stock shocks will be okay. I think the only way to save money is to just leave our CL's stock and to never have seen this website. Oh well, it's so much fun though.
