stereo question: remote turn on for 99 2.3

I'm adding an amp to my factory head unit. I just need to know where to tap the remote turn on wire into? Any suggestions?

You actually can do it to any wire that has power when the car turns on. It doesn't have to be a wire for radio. I picked a blue wire on the radio head and it worked.

Thx for the info, so you tapped into a blue wire coming out of the stock headunit?

YOu really need a digital voltmeter so you can see what wire has +12volts when you power it on. There is a wire from the factory head unit that gest +12v when on to turn on the factory amp. Since your amp is probably going in the trunk, you can always probe and catch the wire at the amp too.

At the back of the radio and at the amp, the Yellow with a white stripe is +12v when radio is on.
