Steering radio controls...

Has anyone had problems with the controls on the steering wheel that control the radio? For some reason when I make a left turn and try to turn up the volume, it switches station's or forwards to the next song while playing a CD. Anyone else have any problems like this?

Also, the little light for the Seat warmer is out. I took the button out, but don't see where to replace a bulb. Would I have to replace the entire button?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Hmm...that is weird, it might be that the wires are crossing when you turn so something might be loose. You should probably take it in to the dealer if you still are under warranty.

When you have the switch out, you should see a small, green, circular piece of plastic on one side or the other. If you turn this, a 1/4 turn counter-clockwise, w/ a flat head screw driver, it will come out............that is the light bulb.

I'm not 100% certain but this is how the cruise & fog light switches are.....

Good luck!

Cool. Thanks. Do you know if this is a dealer item?

Mine does that too but not just while turning left. It seems to swich back and forth. I thought if I pushed down on one side of the middle button it changed the function but now I am not sure.

The seat warmer buttons have two replacable bulbs. One simply lights the switch. The dealers do not seem to stock this bulb but can easily order it. It is a custom bulb because it is mounted on an integral platic stem. The part number is 35511-SM4-000 and it lists for $5.63.

The second bulb is for the bright green light indicating the heater is on.
