Squeeking, Metal sounds? First Thread.

I have put this off for too long. I come to this site every once and awhile. I discovered it through facebook.

I own a 97 2.2CL Premium.....in....sigh....green.

I'll get to the point. Wanted to ask here first since we all know the car.

Driving over bumps or turning side to side (like race cars do to warm tires) or cruising slow over elevation changes.. theres this squeeking metal sounds coming from the rear of my car..

It sounds like its coming from the back right passenger side.. or maybe even closer to the roof.. but its coming from the back right.. anyone ever experience this?

I'm thinking maybe its the springs? Sometimes you swear its coming from higher then that though.. lol.

The sounds are that classic hard metal squeeking/creaking sounds, along with a few other metal sounds nothing bad though.

The handling and everything is fine.. I just can't figure this out. Springs? Shocks? Something inside the pillars?

Whats good?

and on another note..... I wish RONJON wheels came 4 lug..

just to be safe and start with the cheapest possible fix, i would definatly go to your local auto parts store like advanced auto or discount auto parts and pick up a set. cant go wrong with 30 bucks.

make sure your spring/strut assembly is tightly bolted down, it just takes 10 minutes to get a 14mm (or 12mm, forgot) and tighten everything.

Also check the spare tire-well, the spare could be moving around because the small metal cap holding it down got loosened.

hope that helps.
