Spray-Foamed Driver Door

Okay, So I finally got my Pioneer Deh-P9200 Attached to my 3 10'' JL Audio W3s.

Its been about 2 1/2 years since i've officially "bumped".

I've decided to use this spray foam someone talked about on the forum. I sprayed

the door panel. I actually emptied the whole can on about half of the panel. I was getting

frusturated because a cut my finger a few times in the process. I also got the yellow foamy

shit while it was in a liquid state on my hand and it wouldnt come off. I actually still have it

on my arm right now, it feels like its gonna be there for ever. Okay, so now for the results.

At first I was so heated cuz the heated mirror switch was so tough to plug back in. I finally

figure it out and i get the door back on. My brother had just came home so slipping the

window rail on was easier than if i had tried it myself. So i finally wait for the moment of

truth till all the screws are in and i slam the door closed. The clunk is similar to how it always

was. I clean my car and leave for a while. After having a piece of salmon at the Greek

snack shop in huntington village, I come home and slam my door. Its much much much

more quiet! I look at the bottle and it reads; takes 8 minutes to dry, 8 Hours to cure!

Good Shit! tomorrow morning im gonna go get some more of this stuff and do my trunk

and maybe epoxy my spoiler!

i was going to do this, i have a can here that is called red devil foam and it is supposed to be the best on the market i got it from a stereo shop and a friend of mine used it on his accord

the only problem is that you better make sure not to spray too much cause this shit goes everywhere and it expands like crazy

ouch, sorry to hear that. how did you spray the foam without getting it where it would interfere with the window? my doors rattle like champs if i give the speaks any bass. and what are those in your "my next mod" picture, i keep looking at it but i have no clue?

the blue thing with the red writing is a power cap. i stole it from my brothers old audio

system. he had 4 12''s in his mountaineer. This thing should keep my alternator / battery in

good shape. Those black things ; the small round part (kinda looks like a black biscuit) is a high

speaker (tweeter). It has a plastic shroud coming out of it that extends into a shape where the

vocals are screaming, it is a called a "horn", not for beeping, but it is an audio item. Hopefully I

can tack it onto my XR Components crossover and custom mount it on my rear deck, this will be a

hell of a mod. I wont have it mounted until I have my leather complete + headliner redone

(the leather interior is my secret project)

dynamat is garbage and does almost nothing for sound dampening. If you want dynamat, go buy unrocked shingles. its the same shit only 80% cheaper.

i unscrewed it and took it off. you could clearly see the part where the spoiler is attached in the pic.

Its probably that you dont recognize it cuz u've never seen the inside of the spoiler. why would you

be in the position to see the inside of the spoiler to begin with? thats why its not recognizable. The

rumbling of my box broke the spoiler clean off its bottom. I would put diff pix but my camera is broke.

I think that if you guys have some alternative suggestions put it in the thread labeled "trunk"

i went to ur cardomain website and enlarged the picture I can see it better. the other one was to small to see what u were talking about.

so the whole plastic piece or whatever it is made out of cracked off... do u have the piece that broke off? is it possible to drill new holes? or there is not enough room on the mount. Other than that try to find some of that plastic repair compound that people use to repair the back tabs of the woodgrain and fill the hole in and reattach the screw and epoxy the underside of the spoiler... that should hold?

sell the spoiler if any one wants. 20 bux. also what the fuck kinda bmw lip spoiler fits our car
