Speaking of crashed CL's, check this one out

This crash happen a while back in Miami and I thought you guys and girls would like to see the pics. The driver of the CL was DUI and hit a tree at over 100 mph in a 35 mph street. The passenger was killed instantly and the driver is still in a coma almost a year later. Both kids were still in high school. Makes you think twice about speeding

Yeah, unfortunately some kids don't get a chance to learn a lesson. I'm quite surprised that I'm still alive with some of the stupid shit I did when I was that age (90 in a 25, etc). But I'm thankful that I was able to learn the easy way. Had these message boards been around when I was younger, I'd definitely be a lot smarter.

And I'm not that old either.

I used to work a couple minutes away from were the accident happened. On my way home from work I saw the two pieces of the CL on a flat bed tow truck. Sorry if I repeated a post I didn't know it had been posted before. I thought everyone would want to see the pics since it seems a lot of people have crashed recently.
On a side note, do you think its normal for a car to break in two like that or something particular to our cars?

i've seen cars get almost split on lower speed accidents, so i'd think that at that speed any car would break apart....... he did drift into the tree sideways...... force of impact?

You reap what you sow

Hate to be the meanie but.......

Sucks to be him. I bet you if he had to do it over again, he'd take it back in a heartbeat.

DUI and very underage? Betcha he won't do that again!

One lost life and another that shall never fully recover - and for what? What a giant waste. People complain that kids shuld drink if they can serve our country at the age of 18 - you figure it out like I did and reflect upon your life. How many of us has done things similar?

I have sped like crazy. 130+ coming home from college on several occasions and after no sleep for 24-48 hours. I learned my lesson by watching things like this, and I won't ever do it again.

Damn Dcsquirm, i remember that accident. I was back home in the MIA, that junk happened with some Braddock high kids, right? Last day of school or something, down 147th ave ? ...damn, I still had my civic back then, no wonder I didn't think about the cl angle on the situation. Thank God for speed limits (most of the time of course)

Actually the kids went to a private school called Arch Bishop Carroll. It happened right next to Kendall Lakes golf course.
I'm not sure if the car drifted into the tree or what but thats what I assume happened.

Thats horrible. My junior year in high school 5 girls from the softball team were driving to a game and crashed a '93 mustang convertable. 3 girls were killed including the driver when she overcorrected and drifted sideways into oncoming traffic, then was hit by a van right in the broadside. Car split in half and 3 girls were ejected from the back. 2 Died instantly and one a few days later. These were like really popular girls that everyone knew. It was a huge loss. Lots of that going around lately. Be careful, and seatbelts are good things.
