Spark Plugs (silly noob)

So i bought Platinum spark plugs, and raymond @ R1 motors laughed at me and made me feel like a silly noob. So my question is, has anyone used these:

Nology Silver

Its not like there THAT expensive, ($9 a pop) but has anyone used them or can reccomend me diff ones.

Nology has a good name, I've only ever known people that used their wires though, not plugs. I got myself the NGK iridium IX's and they rule, good for turbo and spray

I've been running Denso Iridium's in both of my cars, and I've been pretty pleased with them. Both of mine came to me with NGK's, which didn't seem too bad, but I've never used Nology plugs before.

np, just make sure the gap measurements are within the specified range (second table below), it's ok if the gap is +/- .03 mm of the specification.

I was using NGK Iridium IX, and then Bosch Iridium Fusion.......... but then I swapped in my old NGK-R Copper core plugs and it actually held a stable idle better........... I figure since Copper is a better conductor than Iridium, so I can only imagine Silver....... gotta try these some time, definately cheaper than some Iridium plugs out there, probably since Ag is more easily machined thatn Ir

wires are good, what good are high end plugs if you cant get the high power to them in the 1st place right

I'll try the silver plugs out next, almost time for the coppers to go out anyways....... the only thing that bothers me is that Ag has a lower melting point than Copper and MUCH lower than Iridium (Ag: around 950*C; Cu: around 1100*C and Ir at a whopping near 2500*C), then again how often does the internal engine temp get to the 950 degree mark, and its not as 'tough' as the other 2 elements.............. oh well, gotta try it to find out right

No problem. Don't waste ur money on the gapping tool, just go here to buy the NGK Iridium IX series plugs for the F22A1, they are all the same, and the plugs are pre-gapped. The plugs i'm talking about is towards the bottom of the page.

Also, for the wires, i recommend the MSD Ignition 8.5mm Super Conductor wires set. That's what i'm using and it def helps with idling. Looks nice too.

always used NGK wires also. Never a problem at all.

Never up graded fuel pump or regulator. It was origoinally a h23a lude, so most of the parts were the same anyways.

I wouldn't go wasting money of really really espensive wires. The gains are margional if any.

50% of the h22 swapped cars (civics, del slows, accords) all use fuel pressure regulators.. so i have a feeling that it very recomended. my car sputters sometimes after running for more than 1 hour. i think my fuel pump is crying.
--------------

As for wires and plugs, if these silver ones dont make a diff at all, ill buy the iridium IX's. shit its all about trial n error

You won't notice any difference, if it's a delivery problem, it'll still be there

hmm.. i was talking to a guy at R1 with a h22ab block w/ b20 head swap and thats what he did to fix it.
I think a larger pump would help increase the ponies.. but a FPR would fix the temporary low rev sputtering..

new wires help a bit on stock systems, but in upgraded systems theyre a must have, and the gains are much higher.... if you could even use regular wire sets............ Silver is the most conductive metal on earth when it comes to electricity, so more power ends up at the spark........ Iridiums are built to last, but dont carry current too well, but Iridiums are expensive as hell, so try out the silvers, if not NGK Iridium IX is a good bet, best price on Iridiums that I know of

I got my Silver Plugs last night, and wow i really feel a difference.

1. My idle is quieter
2. car seems to have a lil more torque
3. My auto start has been working great

The plugs in my car previous were 1 month old, Bosch Platinum Plugs. So its not a result of newer plus.

I have a feeling that the Iridium IV and the Nology Silvers are similar in performance.
