Some questions about my CF hood

by the way the hood looks amazing but im just kinda pissed i cant put my grill back without drilling holes. my car is sitting in a college parking lot with the hood latch completely visible. but anyways on the drive here on the expressway i noticed that when i was going 60+ that my hood was sitting right and kept moving up and down. and why is there gaps between the hood and the headlights etc. for any of you CF hood owners could give me guidance with this matter that would be appreciated.

first of all, there are gaps because perfect fitment isnt gonna be possible on a VIS or SEIBON CF hood... that is for the 3000 CF hoods so live with it buddy.

it moves up and down because the wind is going under the hood and lifting it up. over time, you will put stress on the latch and eventually, the latch will break off from the fiberglass, which is why people get HOOD PINS.

they are about $50 and $80 to install. gl with that

the hood pins will also help bring that gap down just a bit.

That's weird, my hood had no gaps, and settled right onto the car. As for the hood, I knew about the drilling cuz of the first hoods. Be VERY careful, I cracked the first brace drilling it, and had to epoxy it back, but I had to modify the grill, by dremeling down the plastic brace on the bottom center to make it sit more flush. The hood gaps shouldn't be if your hood is molded right and your hood is centered, mine lines up perfectly. But you bought an ebay hood not the gb hood so I dunno what's up with them

Should be, are you using the stock hood struts? If not, they're in the way and need to be laid flat, that may help, or they're just flexing your hood up if they're installed

i put the hood struts back on. but hopefully the hood pins might level out the hood a little more.
