Well, the time has come to get into a new ride. Cyclone Blue was falling apart, bless her soul.

she just kept driving and barely holding herself together! So I had been searching for a while, almost decided on getting a 2dr. GTI or R32, when by luck I decided to check out a lexus dealership last night.

Well, at 10PM, I was sitting in my new IS 250.

 

sweet car and sweet chick, will need more pics of her. My only gripe, IS250 comes in stick so why did you get the auto? If you were going to get auto minus whale have got the 350.

 

It's a cruiser - I've been pretty set on getting an auto since I decided to get a new car. I just wanna be able to relax while driving i guess - I think maybe I'll consider a stick when I get my next car. (and be able to afford something with serious power )

 

sometimes guys get girlfriends, they fall in 'love' and buy automatic cars..

and just for the record, this auto is way faster than my current CL, so even the 200~ hp / 180 something tq. engine is an upgrade lol...

good times. I havent disengaged the traction control yet, so I dont know what this thing can do.. .but it is RWD, so I guess anything is possible? (even with an auto tranny? lol)

leasing, and i got it for nearly a better deal than I would have a VW GTI fully loaded the way I wanted or an R32 Fortunately, I've got my finances pretty much under control right now (finances that were outta control at one point thanks to the mods I put on the CL! )

yeah..that wouldnt be good. thats why i turned away the whole lease idea. I enjoy doing stupid things to my car and wasting money on things that dont help the value of my car...haha.

luck has nothing to do with it.. luck would be if I wasnt busting my ass serving coffee 80 hours every two weeks kid. And going to school. Dont blow your hard earned cash (like I did a long time ago) and eventually it'll work out My credit score was also ridiculously awesome or else I wouldnt have been able to even get the lease under my name entirely.

its true... I had some of my regulars from my old store stop me today when I stopped in for a sec and say "Wow, starbucks must be treating you really well".. I dunno I guess after all I've worked so far this is kind of a nice little reward for me.


To be completely honest however, I was almost dreading getting into a deal for the IS last night just because I didn't think I was at that point in my life yet where I should be driving a Lexus around like that.. I would have been perfectly content in my souped up little GTI, or to a lesser extent a Civic SI Sedan w/navi.

It's strange how things work out though.

nice 250 , even the RWD version is great. . . id prefer the AWD, but thats more cost, and I understand how that shit can be. . . and if it is just a lease, yeah id probably have just gotten the auto as well, hell even if it was mine to keep it would end up as an auto, seriously, the paddle shifters are good enough for me, that and youre right, its more a cruiser than a straight up sports car
