so i stopped being a pussy...

and got headers!!! they are stone headers for a 2003 CLS 6 speed

i just got them and decided to take a look

i put them together to see how they look

my car on the ramps

stock exhaust manifold

comparing the goods

stock manifold off

install was pretty easy, ive never done anything on a car and i tackled this. they went in like cake in a fat kids mouth. it took me about 2.5 hours

and....for the final pix...my camera battery died... i will take some tomorrow... overall i love the gains, its got a raspier exhaust tone, which is sweet. well worth the 207 shipped.

yes they fit perfectly, i had a one problem with the support, but i was just being stupid. yes i had to pull the exhaust up, you dont need to loosen anything you just need to pull a little bit or maybe have a friend push on your muffler, overall it was very easy, im also a noob in the whole motor stuff

So this means that any header made for the 03 CL Type-s 6sp will fit. I might look into Comptech. Kinda pricey though.

LOL tha's classic, i just installed the same stone headers onto my 3.0 today, well we finished the job today (baka-T and lnsyone helped), but in the process i kinda messed up my 02 sensor. fixed that but now my TP sensor is all messed.

but for the brief 2 minutes of fun i did have with the headers installed, it was good times :P

outta curiousity, does yours make a hissing sound when you step it hard, or do i have some sorta small leak somewhere??

That's what I thought, that's why I was confused.

Those CL type S ones that he said he got are definately stainless steel. The ss autochrome stone ones are different than those I thought

I guess even if it was a leaking gasket, I'm too damn lazy to take off the headers just to fix the problem, the hissing doesn't sound so bad anyway, I'm used to it now, just roar it up in the parking garages. MUAHAHAHA!!!!
