Snow in MD

damnit i didnt expect it to snow over here in maryland. sucks ass and i didnt get time to change my rims back to stock. any of you guys out there kno if leavin my rims on and drivin round in the snow will damage the finish. they are tenzo mean 6s and the snow isnt that deep over here about like 2-3in. but this is the first winter i have been in with my car having the rims on and being dropped. any advice would be appreciated since i kno prolly more snow is coming very soon. thanks

It always snows in MD in the winter. No clue if it's bad for your rims...although I can't imagine it's much different than the usual washing the road salt & shit off your car in the winter.

the snows not bad its the salt, just make sure you dont let them get to bad. Just take them to the bays and spray them but stay away from that brush!

yea...snow is just water...worry about salted roads chipping your clearcoat/paint

run slightly higher pressures in the winter than you run in the summer as well...it'll help the tires cut through the snow

When you do switch back, take the wheels to a car wash with a power washers and give them a good spraying before you store them.

You may as well change them now because Im sure if you have aftermarket rims, you arent running all season or winter tires, right? Summer tires + icy roads = not good. Change them just to be on the safe side anyway.

just as a heads up - it's gonna snow a lot more in MD this weekend

apart from that, the sign at the car wash by my old house put it best:
SALT EATS CARS!

If your rims are chrome and you don't plan on washing them every 2 days, I would take them off, otherwise, your fine. I have had rims on mine for 4 years now year around with NO problems, and I live in MD like you
