sluggish (yes, even MORE than usual)

my car feels kind of sluggish lately, and yes, its more than the fact that our cars are slow. (mostly unmodified at least) I'm not sure if vtec is kicking in or not, but theres no check engine light on, so i have a feeling that it just needs a tune up. speaking of tune ups, what is a tune up? i dont need new plugs or wires because i have aftermarket ones as of recently, so what exactly do they do if/when i get a "tune up"? i realize its also warmer out now, but i think its more than that. let me know, thanks.

Get your fuel injectors professionally cleaned out. That should help. Then check your oil level. A low oil level will prevent VTEC from engaging. If you did plugs and wires, then you should be ok. Also, check your air filter. it may need to be replaced.

Our cars will feel noticeably slower when the weather warms up as well.

Colder air being shoved in the intake = happier engine

My car was sluggish for a while, turns out the e-brake was sticking. Sounds stupid, but ya never know.

yeah, ask for an injectors flush. mechanics usually use motorvac. it'll clean your fuel injectors, and it'll give you better gas mileage

I would check the fuel filter as well. It should be changed if the car has over 100K.

Yea, my car is running pretty bad right now. It's running too rich with those injectors, I gotta lean it out more in the higher rpm's.
