This site is a goldmine! Thanks to all.
Newbie here. Just wanted to say thanks to the folks behind this site and the ones who post.
Just bought a 1997 2.2 CL with 161k on it. Was looking for a Civic or Accord to use as a comute-mobile. The CL is an auto trans (hate to sit in Atlanta traffic with my foot on the clutch for an hour), and has the premium package (love the leather).
After gettin it home I noticed the transmission shifted a little rough. I went online and discovered this website and found out that is normal. Next day I took it to NTB and had an alignment and had all the fluids checked. They all needed to be replaced. Couldn't believe what they wanted to charge for it, so I am doin it meself. Changed the oil and filter, then the transmission fluid and the trans worked a little smoother. Next came the air filter, pcv valve and spark plugs. Followed by a cooling system flush. Next up will be the brake fluid, pwr steering fluid and ABS.
The car is stock and I'm lovin' it so far. About 3 days afer I got it the check engine light came on but it ran fine. Once again I logged on and a search told me it was probably the secondary o2 sensor and to go to AutoZone for the free check. The guy at AutoZone couldn't find the computer hookup and my owner's manual is missing the first 46 pages and however many after 127. Anyway, back home and log on and search and find out it is under the ash tray. Go back and get it checked and sure enough, secondary o2. Bought one and a socket and it came out on the first good tug. It was the wiring that was a pain.
Other things I've seen on here I'll be working on soon are polishing the headlights, getting the remote fob to work and silicon on the drivers window track to speed it up.
This site has saved me much money, time, money, aggravation and money. I can't thank you enough.

my interior is pristine, but im at 152k too. I just rebuilt the transmission on this girl and let me advise you to consider switching it to a manual if it fails. I know u don't want to but if i could have done it in my 3.0 i sure would have.

I bought the car for its' condition even with the high mileage because of the Honda reputation. Time will tell.

Just to name a few.
Welcome to the site. Be sure to check out the Noob guide before posting. It will answer most of your questions on modding. If you have a problem, chances are SOMEONE has had the same problems, so just do a search....

Can I safely assume OG stands for Old Guys?
I did check out the Noob guide and have made much usage of the search and it has answered all my questions so far.
Again, thanks to all.

Yeah man, nice choice. Atlanta traffic is a bitch with a clutch. You spend like 80% of your driving time in 2nd gear. Thus, I am also switching back to an auto.
How is that commute from Conyers to ATL treating you? You go 20, no?
