I know this is juvenile, but I'm curious nonetheless..... In a race (1/4 mile) between my car (97 3.0, CAI, 75-shot dry) and an 03 Jeep Cherokee High Output 4.7 liter V8, who would win? I'm guessing I'd get my ass handed to me due to traction issues and the fact that the Jeep just has more power. What do you think?

 

You might be able to take him with the 75 shot - I've driven those jeeps and while they are fast, they're mostly torque so I think you'd take off at the end. Anybody have anything other than wild speculation?

I think those jeeps only run low 15's or so....I'm pretty your car will pull a 15.5 or so N/A, so you don't really have any worries in my book.

 

A jeep is a jeep. However much hp it wants to have it still isn't going to be crazy fast at all. Heavy, high center of gravity, mostly torque. You with a 75 shot should take him fairly easily.

 

there are a good amount of 13 and 12 second jeeps out there that would really beg to differ


W/ a blower and good traction they are good for low 14's w/ the avg kit. And there are a good amount of SC and TC kits for them out there.

They aren't that heavy btw

 

I was pulling high 14-second 1/4 miles with your set-up.
