Congrats!

I took out a 2000 VW Jetta VR6 last night! (without nitrous--my bottle was empty)!

That is awesome, but there was never a doubt that a cl could beat an Si. Many of you may not believe this but I beat the new RSX. Not a type S and it was an auto. But what the hell, I should have gotten waxed right? But I beat him pretty bad. He claims that it was cause he was in Sport Shift mode. Should this have happened

Ummm....I dunno what Si drivers you went up against, but there IS doubt whether a CL can take a Si. I got a 3.0 with Venom 400, Intake, and Exhaust and I raced a Si with just intake and exhaust. Indeed, I do have a HUGE sub in the back, but we were even through 80 when we shut it down. Same result after 9 runs. He'd always get the jump, but I caught up to him and we were dead even (Time to take out the sub and back seat next time). Mabey I just need to go to higher speeds, but as for stop light racing, its a fair matchup. I don't see how you can have a 2.2 and say its a "SURE win."

The thing about Si's are that the driver really has to know his car. They have to keep the revs relatively high and drive the car hard to make any sort of power out of it. Against a 2.2/2.3, I'd put my money on the Si if I was confident in his/her driving abilities.

Ok, let me specify what I meant then. I meant that there was never a doubt that a 3.0 could take an Si. I only say this because I have raced Si. and I only lose by about a half a car length. The 3.0 is supposed decently faster than the 2.2 so I would not doubt that they could beat an Si.

my brother ran a 15.3@89 mph in his 98 civic ex with just i/h/e. he beats stock si's like its no thing and i spank him all the time in my car. i dont know if i have an exception of a CL performance wise, but ill video me racing him and try to post it. i have a vid of me racing a 93 or so 5.0 mustang from a 20 mph roll and it was dead even up to about 80-85 when we shut down.

I don't get out on Route 7 too often (usually take the Toll Road), but there always seems to be a cop or 2 just awaitin'.

I was going out Route 7 on Monday (heading to Lake Fairfax), and saw several cops. Just as well, I had my wife and 4 year old in the car. I shouldn't be picking races with them in the car.

I've only raced an SI one time in my car and it was an easy kill. I talked to the guy before I raced him and they guy was talking so much shit, saying how he could beat Cobra Mustangs in his SI and that no one could take him off the line. He also said he had engine work done and had JUN cams.
We'll lets just say I took him off the line by like two cars and never looked back. By the time we shut down at around 100 mph I had atleast 4 cars on him.

And before anyones asks yes I sprayed the whole way.

I was taking Si's an Sentra SER Vspec's and GSR's all day over at the track this weekend They were all running high 15's and i was in the mid 15's. The car ran a way better than I expected, and my RT's were in the .5-.69 range almost all day. Also took a 2000 BMW 325i which was a real surprise but I got it handed to me by a 2001 Maxima and a 2002 Altima 3. something, those things can move, unless he was spraying or something. I gained alot of respect for my car this weekend.

P.S. taking off the power steering belt cut off 4 tenths. Nice free mod. I like the car better with out it anyway.

When I ran last weekend I had Intake, exhaust, header, Venom 400, fuel pressure regulator, open cat, prokit, agx, no power steering belt, interior removed including spair tire, and mother nature working with me on the temp ( 60's) on a cloudy day.
