1997acuraCL 3.0 my buddys car got towed it needs a tranney and he left it sitting in front of the shop for like 3 months and they towed it. its $472 to get out and he said pay that and give him $500 and its mine it needs paint tranney 2 window motors its got 18 inch rims well 3rims 102,000miles good leather no dents just paints real bad should i do it dose any 1 have any idea on how much a tranny would be what 2 do help

 

I say do it and fix that bad boy up! If that's all that's wrong, may cost you some cash but it will all add up to probably less than what you would have paid if it was in good condition...

 

If you're willing to put the work into it, it's a worthy investment

 

pretend the car is tyra banks and jump on that give her alittle tlc and youl be 100000 miles is just broken in for a honda motor.replace the tranny you have a 3.0 good to go.just watch the little stuff (alternator,starter,thermostat) those were the little probs i had on my 3.0. with 145,000+miles all in all wouldn't trade her for the world. you wont be disappointed.

 

Word, it only has 102K but 3.0 tranny sucks. If you're willing to get a new tranny jump on it and pray to the tranny gods it doesnt go out on you.

 

not too bad of a deal just make sure you get a tranny cooler when you get your new tranny and you should be coo...timing belt will need to be considered if it hasn't already been done and your drive belts would also be a good idea...but hey under 1g I'd take it.
