lately i've got a real bad itch to start modding. these are from SSAutoChrome and if i'm not mistaken their stone racing headers. $150 sound like a good deal on these, but is it to good to be true and should i get these? i think Wilp99 has these same one that are for the 6 speed and had no fitment issues and didn't needed to be bent.

Damn those are cheap, are you sure those are the ceramic headers? I think they're stainless. Just cuz of the price difference, but glad to see ssautochrome is auctioning again, they were on vacation for a couple weeks.

dont get the crank shaft pulley. its not ballanced and doesent dampen vibrations, your crank bearings life will be cut in half. bad news.. get under drive pulleys same out come no crank bearing failure.

hahaha word. Still debating it since well, college is coming up and i really don't want to be stuck in the snow and i know i will possibly be commuting so an SUV is in the future possibly . I love the car, but i'm still holding my options open. I maybe getting a QX4. but i'm letting to see what enfolds and then i will decide if i want to go mod happy, which i really want to do.
if i do get the SUV, my dad is sort of going through a second midlife crisis if u want to call it that. First it was a bike and now he wants a car in the summer,. since he got rid of his TL, to have fun with. so his options is something exotic like a used NSX or a CLS 6 speed that we can work on and modd or something else.
decisions, decisions. end

i been useing it for over 20k miles now no problems from me.
the AV6's over at v6p.net some of which have been useing it even longer no problems. A whole bunch of them use the Megan crank pulley, from what i hear all the power is made from the crank pulley power steering and alternator doesnt give shit.
never heard of a problem from megan pulley but unorthodox pulley has already been broken from regular use over at v6p.net the damn thing snapped right off the crank
i know a few guys here also use megan pulley no bad word from them

you wont feel the problem. bearings are tricky. they get bad, but with no problem felt. until they spin. once they spin its curtains. you may not notice a problem but i bet if you took your crank caps off and mic'd them you'd be out or very close to tolerance. again im not sayin its an instant problem its just going to shorten the life of your bearings quite a bit. like say you took two brand new cl's and one had a light weight pulley. the one that was stock will last atleast 1/3rd longer than the one with the pulley.

i guess that makes sense lighter weight = more power = more wear and tear
and i can see the problem with bearings been around those DSM guys and there fuckin crank walk
