should it be done...

i just got a job making $1600 every 2 weeks, its not a whole lot but its enough for me....since im not going back to school next semester and instead am working (and living at home with no expenses), should i go for the typeS and 6spd swap, (everything from motor to tranny etc.)???? im 100% serious and need opinions...since no one else has the balls to do it, should i be the first???? (i just got back from work and ive been thinking about it all night) through all my posts you know im not a bullshitter and like i said im as serious as a heart attack. is 10G for a swap too much??? even though thats what the eg/ek's are spending on k20 swap's. (and no i dont want to save up for a down payment on a house, im too young for that.)- also my tranny is starting to go out on me, so thats a major factor in my decision...

Thats alot of dough... Is it really worth it? Or would you be happier with a new car with more potential. RWD, AWD, Turbo...Whatever. Alot of options are now available. I guess it would be unique...

Most people will proabably bitch at me for "CL Love" and all that bullshit...But I'm trying to be as realistic as possible since you're dropping 10Gs onto a car that is worth 10Gs.

Honestly for the money i would go for an h22a4 and build it up like none other...turbo, new cam shafts...the works. That would actually end up a lot cheaper and you could get just as much out of it. Then you could put the rest of the money into other shit like cosmetic stuff and such....or towards a new car...but this is all up to you. I just think it would cost a little too much money than what it’s really worth!

Just buy a Type S!! By the time you're done the swap you could of sold the 1st gen and bought a Type S. I can see if you were going to install an exotic motor from Japan that we just don't really see over here, but a type S motor just buy the car its in! Just my opinion

h22a or ditch it for a newer car. I'd sell it personally.

ghander, have you had a chance to compare the motor mounts in a 2.2 cl compared to the 3.0 or seen the guy out there that supposedly had done the swap....ive been thinking about the 3.2 swap, but the h22 has more potential to be just as fast or faster for alot cheaper...i like having a v6 and would miss it, but a h22/turbo would help me get over that.

I'm still trying to get in touch w/ the guy, he hasn't been returning my efforts. But even if it is different, it'd still be cheaper to make the mounts for the h22a then it would be to get a j32 in there.
