Short throw shift arm

Does anyone know of any shorter shift arms? I've found a bunch of short throw shift adapters, but I really want to lower where the knob sits too. Also, what's the best short throw kit? I have a 97 2.2

I found an adjustable shifter. Anyone ever seen anything like this before? For 30$, I'm thinking of buying it, but I'm not sure if I need the 94-96 0r 97+ Accord model. Anyone have an answer?

Hey,

If this is a pic of the short shifter than it's an incorrect picture.

http://www.atomicgear.com/page102.htm

The mechanism for our car doesn't even resemble that structure. Looks like one for an integra or civic. Ours has is controlled by 2 pistons that connect to the shift lever and I don't see any fittings for that in the picture. (Kinda like that device that keeps your storm door from slammin.)

Make sure to call them to ask if it's the adapter or the whole shift lever. 9/10 places only have the adaptor. If you want to shorten the stick, get the adaptor and cut the stick. However when it is too short in height, ur elbow's gonna hit the center arm rest.

I have the B&M adaptor.. it works fine... and only cost $50 or so. The DC is exactly the same thing...only blue.. and not as adjustable. (it has only 1 setting)

Just get a shorter shift nob for the car like an inch or so and the shift will feel shorter. You don't need any quicker shift in the car than the adaptor. Believe me... I can shift faster than most, however it's hard on the syncros... so only when i'm racing, however from 1st - 2nd i get too big of a chirp when i shift too fast so it's not really worth shifting so fast at times.

Peace...

-Is my car fast? ... comon be real, even with a Prelude motor it still wouldn't be.

I am also interested in the short throws. I think I will look into one of these adapter kits, as well as a shortened shift nob. But how do you know the nob is shorter? There arent any shops around me that I can go a see this stuff in person. So, what should look for when buying this part? Like will anything fit, or does it have to be a specific size?

I put the shift knob from my old CRX on it. There's only about 1/2" of material between the top of the screw and the top of the knob, so it is a little lower. I found a yard where I can order a shift arm, but it's 100$. I was gonna buy it and cut it, but for 100$, I'm just not sure. What I would do is buy it, cut it, put it in my car, and then sell my shifter to someone on here for 50$ so they can cut that one. Anyone interested?
