Ok, I've been looking for a short shift and all I find are kits. I know this topic has been addressed before, but how well do these kits work as compared to the real deal? Is there a difference between DC sports, neuspeed, & any others? Any advice would be helpful!

 

i have a B&M and it works nice. it was a direct bolt-on. the throws are shorter, but not as short as a real short shift kit. otherwise i like it.

 

Its the only thing thats available. Its a take it or leave it kind of thing. All the kits do pretty much the same thing and most are adjustable (the B&M) is anyway.

 

anyone ever try cutting the shifter down?? I mean, isnt that all a short shifter is?? If you do cut it, you can either re-thread it, or use one of those universal shift knobs that use set screws... in my mind that would work just fine...

ive got the DC one and it reduced throw something like 30%. But now i can really feel it when it hits the gates.
