Short Shifter photos!
Well, I'll tell you what. It's a fun install, and its worth the money that I put into buying it...

this is my old shifter. Very tall, but comfortable. Soft, luxurious. You know.![ugh](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/ugh.gif)

Enter PSPEC's Short Shifter - a short shifter built specifically for the 97 Acura CL. man, I was so damn happy to finally get this thing in the mail, but I had no time to enjoy looking at it - I had to install the fucker before the meet I was going to the next morning!

Now, we (my best friend and I) begin gutting this motherfucker...

and poof-be-gone, the shifter's are side by side... my buddy Pat is holding up the PSPEC SS (left) w/the shift knob, vs the stock shifter (right) w/o the knob on.

...wait, where'd the rest of my car go?
![](http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y90/agranadoCL/found10.jpg)
oh yes, btw, After ripping the consoles out, we happened to find a 10$ bill just chillin in my car... It payed for Denny's after we finished the install (lol).

Sweet..I wasnt gonna get the whole kit but I'm sick of my knob and boot already so I might just order the whole thing and not just the short shifter. Looks sweet, looks kinda like a Skunk 2 knob. Yo..but there isnt any number to call to order it.

when u installed this short shift were u able to keep ur stock shift boot w/ that aftermarket shift knob. Also how did u get the shift knob/boot off your stock shifter? Are they stuck together?

To remove the shift boot, you had to rip the whole console out, flip it over, and remove some staples that held it there, along w/some screws that held a plastic piece over the vynil boot to keep it from moving out of place (Just in case).
They are not stuck together. Apply pressure to youre shift knob (there's a small bump that you can push on the back of it) then once you feel it click I think, you can screw the top right off.
