OK so anyone know anything about cutting the shift rod on an automatic and possible risks involved. Yes I know that the only reason to do it is for looks, and that is precisely why i would do it. I replaced the stock shift knob with an aftermarket top push button shifter, id have to bring it down a whole hell of a lot, almost to the point where the the screw for the shifter has about an inch of clearence, wondering if anyone has done this before.
