Short?

My gas station gives away free washes (just the drive-through), if I buy 15 dollars worth of gas (so i wait 'till i'm on fumes every sunday) on sunday.

Anyways, It seems like every time I go through, my "brakelight is broken" light flicks on, when there is actually nothing wrong....

ANything I can do?

there really bad with the brushes . high pressured h20 is mas bueno ( a touchles wash is the way to go ) oh and i myself think its bad to let your car get down to fumes cause your car then sucks all kinds of shit off the bottom of the tank .......

touchless car washes can be just as bad on cars with older paint jobs...like our cars with 8 years or exposure....the high pressure H20 can actually loosen any tiny clearcoat or paint chips from highway driving and cause your paint to chip more........

and as for the 1/4" tank thing...it's an old wives tale!

drive thru/automatic car washes are bad mmmmmmkay

It's especially not an old wives tale to run it to fumes or empty. You'll learn when your fuel pump goes. But who am I to say that I run mine pretty low most of the time, but had a friend that had a fuel pump go out because the gas got to low.

agreed wash it yourself apply ur own wax, wool mitt does help alot. i may not be the smartest person about the car itself but when it comes to washing it, i know the way to go. leaves it scratch free and is easy on the paint.

ps - always carry rags in ur trunk if u still decide to go thru a car wash so u can dry it urself prevents water marks or whatever there called. dont rely on the "blow dry" method.
