Angry To the shop!!!!!

finallt got tired of workin on my cl and took it to the shop. I had pulled codes and i never could find the problem. p0301, p0302, p0303, p0304, p1300 all are cylinder misfire and i did change plugs, plug wires, distributer cap, rotor button, cleaned and checked injectors, check coil but none of them fixed the problem.

when you changed the plugs did you gap them?

i need some cause i was feelin sluggish in high rpms...the new ones felt the same cause they were not gapped. The ones i got were gapped at .50 and left carbon on the plugs.

gap is fine -- so far they have narrowed it down to the distributer or the computer and the dealers cost on the ecu is $700 so if i have to do that i will just buy the AEM plug and play ecu

well guys here is what the shop said....they traced everything in the entire car and said that it dealt just with the cylinder 2 so they check everything that connected to cylinder 2 and finally can down to 2 conclusions....1 bad ecu but that is a 10% chance ... the other is the distributer. He took the ohms readings and said that on the igniter module that the cylinder 2 prong was reading 850 something and he said that it was only suppose to be 125. only way to fix it is with a new distributer or used. so insdtead of them charging me 700 i am going to take it home just spending 240. thay have had the car for a day and a half and they traced the problem that i couldnt find so i and thinkin that is a reasonable price for diagnostics, plug wiires, labor and taxes.

He also told me that the motor was in excellent condition. compression ran 175 (i think) all the way across, valve train is great but he said that my wiring harness was looking bad. It does have 196,000 miles on it so i think that i have gotten my moneys worth out of it. so now that work is going to buy me a vehicle, then i might have time to save for a swap...or i just might sell it for whatever i can get out of it over 4g.
