shifter

the stock shifter gave me a pain in the ass today... i was putting in dome lights and was about to mess with a shit boot (for an automatic)... apparently the shift boot was too small,. made for a manual trans. i tried to take the leather top part of the shifter off, it came off and all but i could not get it back on directly, cut to the chase i lost teh two little screws that hold the shifter to the shift pipe... now i drive with a metal stick as a transmission.... any recommendations on what to do about this one. and for those of you with a automatic and a shift boot, school me on how in the world this is possible to do..
peace
dont hurt yourselves anyone

yea, find the screws!!! No but seriously, take a magnet around the interior of your car and try to locate the screws, and make sure to not loose the spring. You can always buy a piece of leather from a textile store and fasten the leather around the actual shifter by placing the handle back on when you find the screws. Or it looks like you can visit www.acuraautomotiveparts.com if your too lazy to stop by the dealers for tose tiny screws.
