at first, i was all into that shit right, but after reading some posts, it seems like CL is more of a smooth ride than one that can be fixed up to race in the streets and shit. some people bag on CL's and others are saying it's the shit, but im thinking of sellling and buying a performance car, whuh u guys think? thanks

i think the CL is a sporty luxury coupe... it can be both luxury and sleek and sporty depending on how you look at it.. thats why i love it!

 

it really depends, you can spend a moderate ammount and get the car to run in the low 14's to high 13's (with some nitrous) or you can put in a rocking sound system with 8 tv's and an air ride...

you are not going to have the fastest car on the road. if you can live with that the cl is a great car.

 

i got a 2.2CL, it's slow as fuck. ran the 0-60 and got 8.9ish seconds. i'm thinking of either getting a 3.0 because i don't really want to get rid of the luxury ride of a CL, mine has a nice ride. or, imma sell it and maybe get a GSR or si hatchback, not sure tho.

 

or i'm probably save up from my part-time job and add that to the sell price of my CL and get a 01 CL-S. i got my car 97CL with 49k miles on it for 9700, it has 58 now

 

Well My Opinion Is - The Cl Is Luxury, Fast (most Of Them), Basicly There Pimpin Ass Rides - I Think You Should Definitely Stay In The Acura Family

 

yeah, i don't wanna get anything other than a CL cuz i REALLY like the CL i have now. the only thing its lacking is power and i need that in the near future. even with mods, 2.2C:'s are even close to being contenders against other common street cars like RSX. CL-S is a very nice acura with a lot more power than my 2.2CL has. basically, if i can't get a CL-S, imma get a 3.x CL

stop complaining... and do something about it... it is kinda unbelievable that when you bought the car you did not know what kind of car you were getting... if it was a mistake live with it or change it. if it wasn't a mistake throw some more money at it.

 

i was thinking of h22. to tell the truth justchillin, i had no interest in cars whatsoever before i got my CL. i saw that it was cheap and it was an acura with a decent mileage so i decided to buy it since i need a form of transpotation. i don't noe why, but recently i started getting into it, and after some research, i found out that my CL wasn't fast compared to others. i can't really do something about it until i start my job in september, so i'm just coming on here to ask some questions to straighten some things out that i'm not clear about. i'm planning on keeping my car so i guess i'm most likely gonna add the h22 and mod it from there i suppose.

you mean swap in the h22.... do a lot of research before you do this one or you will have some problems/regrets again. putting in an h22 is no cheap thing.

 

haha, it's unrealistic that i'm going to actually add another engine to my car, i meant swap. yeah, my friend said h22's aren't cheap, so i will definitely be doing research. my friend knows a lot about that shit so i think by the time i get money to get the h22, i'm going to know more than i do now.

 

h22s are weak. Look at some of the track times for NA H22As in CLs. Weak. :P
