Seat re-upholstered
Any one have that done yet? Does the seat heater still work? What's the average cost....are we talking a couple hundred, or over $500 per seat?

You can get 2-tones and a selfinstall kit from autoleathers.com for just under 1000 shipped. Very nice seats. You can add embroidery, they have lots of colors, not sure how hard the install is though... I would imagine its more time consuming than difficult.

Do autoleathers.com and likes only offer two row to properly match the leather, or can they just do one seat and still match the leather? My back seats are practically untouched. It'd be a waste to have them re-upholstered also.

blah blah blah
Since you're only going to redo the front seats, you might as well buy some racing seats like recaros. Cost you about the same amount of money but you get the cool factor and it's comfy...

yea, but would they have power or heat like the stock ones do. i am also interested in reupholstering the front seats only. they are very worn, but the back it just fine. i might as well get perforated for the front seats considering they are sat in the most.
anyone up for a groupbuy?

So how do those online places work...how would we install them? I'd probably go with a local shop.
jamolie: Where did you get yours done...locally?
The front page of autoleathers.com, it looks like the guy is installing a "seat cover"? I would imagine that to "re-upholster"...you'd re-sew the seat....?

Autoleathers.com sells a self install kit on the site. Its not TOO complex to reupholster a seat, but it is time consuming. Gotta rip the old stuff off, put the new stuff on. If you got a free weekend and are midely competent you could do it yourself

You can get just 2 front seats from them, but you have to call for pricing...the number is...(866)75-SEATS. Our kit also includes the door insterts, so if you want those, i'm sure they will hook ya up with that too.
