on my way home from work tonight i pull up to a light and see a guy in a scion tc. we give each other the "u wanna go look" i took him from launch and opened a car lenghth on him i killed the race at at 70. i think it was auto becuase he didnt launch. i hate toyotas. does anybody know what those are running.

from what i've heard the tc uses a v6 toyota camry motor? if n e thing that guy should of jus bought a camry ha ha!

 

not sure what they run...but heard they handle pretty well....have double wish bone suspension....bastards!

i was so excited i forgot to tell u guys i also raced a 4 door accord acyl beat that to. also i didnt feel my vtec kick in.

 

i beat a 240 w/ a sr20det @ 10lbs of boost.. whats your point..


auto or manual.. you wont ever feel your vtec.. believe me

yeah, h22 is a big difference from an f22. And btw, scion tc's are 4 bangers.

 

so how much did feeling vtec cost you?

 

two of my friends have scions, both manual, and i have raced both. from launch, all three of us raced on a road that kind of turned and banked, and i was ahead only by about 2/3 of a car length but was on the very outside. however, on the highway, couldnt keep up with either and just let them battle it out.

p.s. 97 3.0CL stock engine, new tranny

im guessing that would be why it wasnt the other way around. they might not be all that fast, but they sure are nimble. -shrugs-

 

You're right, I know they aren't running a V6. They may be able to get a turbo or SC for the 4 banger, I think. I kinda like the way they look

 

i saw a vid of a scion tc on the dyno w/ a turbo..... think it had 400 hp lol

 

I can definitely hear it!!

 

I liked the way they looked too, when they first came out, till every other car I saw on the road was a TC, then I didn't think they looked that unique.
