If I model the car, which I've been looking to do:

I can produce them with a 3d printer.

This would be costly, but would be pretty fucking sick.

Only problem is that It'd be one piece, rather than a die-cast with moving parts.

Are you talking about rapid prototyping them? I saw the work of one of those machines last year, and the finished product had a really rough surface... If you could get a smooth finish on the final surface, I'd be in...

That would be nice... I'm pretty good at 3-d modeling, but I doubt I could do something as extensive as a CL... That would be a huge project... But I do have a feeling it would be worth it... I'd love to get my hands on a model for my desk here at work...

could,'t someone make the clay model, or say the rapid prototyping and then vacuum form plastic bodies, from there it wouldn't be hard to complete the model. You could just use existing models to make the chassis and interior.

I would think the body is the key, once you get that, it's just a matter of time to do everything else. In fact it would be neat to just get the body and see what we call come up with.

I will laugh my ass off if you guys pull this off and make one. Then I will purchase one for myself. And then I will send diecast and every other toy company a big "fuck you, we don't need you" letter and state, "Acurazine > Your toy ocmpany".

I was thinking the exact same thing... Anyone up for doing the CAD model of the body? I could try, but I doubt it would come out well...

start with a CAD model of the body, rapid prototype (or some other way of getting a small plastic version of it) it, buy an accord car that it will fit on, take the accord body off, replace with CL body, and poof a scaled CL...

Isnt there like some gran turismo game coming out with the CL in it?

You could wait for that and then have someone send you / get the model from that game and then use a 3d printer.

just an idea
