same class? no way.
wHyTeCoUnTrY made some points....
Oddly enough both Teggy and wHyTeCoUnTrY registered in Oct 2006....anyways wHyTeCoUnTrY had some points but some were meaningless.
Who gives a shit if your making more HP per litre, that's the dumbest fuckin statement I ever heard...If I wanted a smaller engine i would have bought the base model. It's not really a fair comparison unless the CL 3.0 came with a manual tranny which I believe most R type and GSR integra's do come with, along with gear ratios, HP to weigh ratio, ect these things would alter peformance. Look at a 97 grand prix, it has a 3.8 L engine with 195 HP which is worse and weighs more than a CL.
A CL is a midsized Luxury coupe, and most cars in that class have higher displacement engines, I dunno if it's just for image purposes or whatver. If Acura wanted they could've put 200 HP in a 2.0 L if they really wanted to. There's many other cars out there that have better HP/litre than your example. An Integra is far from luxury, is definately not a midsized vehicle, and built for a totally different market of buyers, therefore neither are in the same class. The latest Integra's are nice cars but you get what you pay for, if you want a midsized luxury coupe then you buy it, if you want a 4 banger that's small but good on gas then you buy it, if you want a full sized truck then you buy it. If your happy with your ride then that's the main thing...and please if I really cared about peformance soo much, I would've bought a Nissan Maxima that has a 3.5L 265 HP with the 6 speed manual tranny, that things a rocket and is a midsized luxury vehicle, and definately one of my fav cars! Also considering it's engine has been nominated like 10 years in a row by Wards autoworld! Honestly I think most would agree they'd rather be throwing through the gears in a Maxima than an Integra even if yours does have a measly 1.6 or 1.8 litres, lol....like the saying goes there's no replacement for displacement.

This is like the other thread where the civic owner said his civic was in a better league cuz he could get more fart cans for it than a CL, acura is luxury, but there's nothing luxury about the integra. I work on the all the time, there's usually no leather, no woodgrain, nothin. Not to mention the ride's totally different which you already pointed out. Not to mention the pricetag on the CL was a lot higher
