Tonight I started the car and in park, it was idling rough and killed the engine a couple of times. I put it neutral and gassed it and it fixed the problem to drive it, but it did it again later on.

Any idea what could cause it?

 

Maybe you need to clean your throttle body?(could be getting stuck) adjust idle?

 

Bad plug/wires - sounds like you might nor be firing on all cylinders at idle for whatever reason .
