Rotor Conversion

I have been doing much research into putting the newer style rotors on the 97 CL and it seems there is some confusion out there.

Basically nobody has made it super clear as to the solution to this problem.

I believe the knuckles are all the same for the 97, 98, and 99 CL's, so the only part that needs to be changed out is the hub assembly and the rotor itself.

I have been told by a Honda Master Technician the 98 and 99 rotors are thinner than the 97, but I don't believe that will affect the caliper situation as what I think he was saying is the actually thinness is in the plates not the entire rotor so it cannot be turned as many times.

I have also been trying to find a Honda car that has the same rotor configuration as the 98 and 99 CL's, but it seems all the Honda rotors are not as big, of course this is based off the MajesticHonda website where the parts catalog is.

If anyone has any concrete and solid information regarding this conversion I would be SO HAPPY. I am really in need of getting new rotors, as well as new bearings (vibration is getting old and cost 175 to get the rotors turned at Honda on the car, and the pressing issue will cost just as much money as well).

I am not sure if I should stay with my old rotors or convert them. The only advantage I see to converting is future release of rotor without having to press them.

Ahh, I did find out the hub assembly for the 98 and 99, as well as the rotors are more expensive than the 97.

I have read on here I can take these bad boys off myself, but some cars are easier than others, just like my rear shocks are going to have to be cut off at the bottom because of seizing, unless anyone has any ideas about that as well, but that is another thread.

SORRY TO BE SO LONG, Hope You can understand My dilemma.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE !!!!

for the third time:

i have a 97 3.0CL and all i changed was the hubs and rotors. you need 98-99 3.0CL hubs and rotors, that's it.
