^depends on your budget, and tweeter sizes.
find out how big the opening is, or how big the stock tweeter is.

then research aftermarket tweeters, and see if they will fit.

Just get new ones, you can get a deccent set of domes for cheap, but honestly, getting a set of matched 6.5" components for the front doors with matched tweeters is really the way to go.

Oh, and I fit 1" silk dome tweeters in the stock location no problem

YEa tweets will fit in stock location. But if you wanna get creative do something different. I put then in my doors when I had my system. Sounded killer.

Are you stock do you have bose? I may have a extra bose laying around

Dude get some infinity kappa COMPONENT speakers. The kit comes with new door speakers (wich are actually subs) and the crossovers and the tweeters you can get it new for around $200. you could also get a mono block amp around 1000W.

That would be the biggest bang for your buck.

Then you need to bypass your stock amp and wiring cuz it sucks n sounds like crap, then u need a new head unit ,wiring, n such. Just don't comment if u know not of what u speak. k? mmm k. I had prolly one of the loudest systems on here in my car awhile back, but took it out after shattering the welds on my trunk lid. Now im stock bose. For some of us it's fine.

It's not a necessity to bypass the Bose amp if you are looking to change speakers. Next time I get a 1G CL with Bose in the shop, I'm going to figure out how to retain the Bose amp with an aftermarket radio. I've never really looked into it very far, but it can't be terribly difficult.

First, no. Kappa's are far from the best speaker for the money. For a lot less than $200, I could easily find a very decent set of comps that I enjoy listening to much more than Kappa's. If I actually looked, I may be able to find some old yellow cone Pioneer Rev's or some Eclipse 3 ways, which would absolutely blow Kappa's out of the water.

Second, you don't want to run a mono amp on component speakers, nor do you want to run 1kw to comps. I'm overpowering the hell out of my speakers (twice rated power) and I'm still well under the 1kw mark. Hell, I know I'm well under 500w, and probably under 300w rms. Peak power means absolutely nothing. As for the mono amp, please look up the difference between mono amps and 2/4 channel amps. Using a mono for anything but woofers or a single speaker just won't work. Or at least not well...

That you did. If I felt like it, I could've got up to challenge the number you were doing, but I don't have the time, money or desire to do so. I'm basically done competing, so no point to build a competition setup that I'm never going to use. I barely beat on the one I have now let alone something that wasn't tuned nearly as low. A nice little backseat half wall would probably take down the 147's you were doing though

I've got a plan to, but that build will probably cost in the neighborhood of $8-10k, just in equipment. 6 12s, Iceman style... 8-10kws and it should be right nice

I'd consider building another, but I've already got the sunroof going insane with these 2 little 10s. If I built something bigger, I'd have to completely close the thing off, which is not something I want to do. That and I now have a 79 Fiat Spider that I'm going to put a Ford 4v 4.6L V8 into and have some fun with that, so no system upgrades for awhile. I may change from the TB subs to some DC's, but I'm not going to compete much anymore. It's just too expensive with no real benefit or reason to do it. DBDrag's going downhill, no real point anymore... I won my World Championship, not much else to do from here...
