Has anyone upgraded their back-up lights? What brand did you use? What wattage are they, and is there a big improvement? I want to actually be able to see what i'm backing up into since the factory lights don't really light up anything, but i'd prefer not melting the housing!

I'd be curious as to what the answer is as well. The factory lights are a little dim, and with the tint, it's even worse.....

i did, i'm not sure what bulb i used, i got one w/ a bit of a blue tint (ricey and queer; but i've been to lazy to remove) it's more of a hyper white actually. The problem is you have to file down part of the reverse light housing cause no bulb will fit but the stock bulb.

 

I've been looking into bulb replacements for everything on the car. apparently there's nothing out there to match piaa 9005s, 6s, and 19168s. definitely polarg and maybe raybrig make brighter bulbs, but they won't match for the blinkers if you have clear bumper lenses in front - the main reason I've been looking around. I'd sure like to know if you come across something I haven't found.

I emailed Autobarn to see if they had a replacement for the backup lights (which I think the generic size # is 3497) and they said they didn't. (BTW they're having a PIAA sale now)
