Replacement Upper Front Control Arms - Alignment??

I just replaced the L/R front upper control arms on my 99 CL (OEM Parts). Is an alignment needed? I know it is for tie rod end replacements but not sure about this part.

Thanks!

drive it and see if the car pulls. if it doesn't then no need for an alignment. I've seen people that dont need alignments for tie rod replacements if the mechanic turned the new ones on exactly the same amount of turns as when he took it off.

If they are just oem replacements, then no you shouldn't need an alignment after UCA's.

thanks for the reply.

Yes I did replace them myself. It was very straight forward. I did use a cordless impact driver that I am sure helped out. But there are only three bolts for each arm that needs to be removed.

I would recommend OEM vs. some aftermarket junk. I bought the aftermarket junk and it lasted me 10,000 miles and more time and money than it is worth.

yea its pretty easy to change out your control arms..upper ones have 2 bolts near either shock tower..on a 2.2 passenger side you have to lift off the 2 fuse boxes to reach the bolts..and the other side just need an extension..get under the fender and theres one bolt that holds on the arm to the knuckle..which btw comes out a lot easier if u raise just the suspension when u loosen it, then drop it and the knuckle will come right off giving you access to the arms. i always feel whenever you mess with your suspension you should at least get it checked..a little off can make a big difference over time.i think its worth the while
