yes, any auto-starter can be used on a manual. you just need to make sure, you never leave your car in gear or a driving it will go.
also, idk if our cars have a neutral switch but if it does, it can be wired so that it wont start unless its in neutral.
usually it will be wired to not start unless the ebrake is on, but if its in gear, it MIGHT not help.

park in Neutral as the last guy said and by pass the neutral wire
its all about wiring the damn thing...i wouldnt do it coz of the hassle
I had one professionally installed on my old Delsol...I think it killed my starter prematurely coz it kept cranking for like 3-5 seconds after the car starts

Out of habit I always leave my car in neutral, only thing i'd just be afraid my ada might move my car and he always leaves it in 1st after moving it, so teh neutral bypass sounds like a REAL good idea, now if I could jsut have someone in here that has one in a manual and the company and pricing info, thanks!
I'd probably have a shop do it anyhow.

compustart are the best for manuals. and it wont start unless its in neutral, they do have a function for that. but you have to turn off the car with the remote, otherwise next time it wont start. i was gonna get one but it was pushing 600$ for everything, not worth it IMO.

i've never heard that b4, i don't see why you would have turn the car off with the remote,
the remote starter's system should get automatically deactivated when, you press the brake pedal, and/or move the shifter out of neutral.
thats b4 and after you insert the key, but if u have the key in, the car will keep running, if its out, it turn off.

<< Installer
A lot of the times the modules for 5spd integration require a sequence or that you put it in turbo-time mode when you get out and arm it. It's rather irritating... the only car I know of that is common to have a neutral status wire would be the scoobies. I was talking to another installer about a safer alternative and he had the idea that you could mount a metal ring around the shifter that is suspended by springs. Your neutral safety wire would be hooked to this ring which is isolated from ground. The shifter itself would be the ground it would see when it is touching the ring in gear. Depending on the neutral safety polarity of the R/S, you may have to use a relay to convert polarity, but essentially if you leave your car in gear, the stick is making a circuit with the ring to ground. And for the clutch, you use the status output of the unit to the clutch switch so it only disables the clutch switch when remote started.
I'm probably going to do this when it gets a bit warmer out, I installed the Viper 5900 but left the r/s disengaged. So I'll post a how-to with pics when it is done.
