does it not work on the first try, or will it just not work at all sometimes?
i thought mine was like that, but i figured something out..
i duno why this is, but if i lock my car with the door lock and not the remote, it takes a few tries to unlock it with the remote, and it doesnt make a sound when it unlocks.
but if i lock and unlock it with the remote, it works on the first try and beeps.
weird stuff..

Our remotes suck, sometimes I have to bang on the remote a few times b4 it sends signal, most of the times it just works, and for the last 3 years i've had my car, I always carry a spare battery in my wallet, cuz the batteries suck and the remotes suck and i don't want to get locked out of my car, cuz we all know how opening the door when the alarm's armed works

My main remote started acting funny a while back. It wouldn't always lock/unlock the car, but sometimes it would work. I sprayed it full of TV tuner cleaner, and that seemed to help, but it still wasn't very reliable. I need to set aside 30 minutes to give it a good cleaning and see if that fixes it.

Anyways...I tried the other, unused remote, and it's been working great ever since. If you have another remote, give it a try to see if the issue is on the car side or the remote side.

I can't the spot in the forum about programming the remote. Is it hard to do? Thanks people. I might just go to Acura and buy another one. Only about $50.
