reducing humming on sri

installed it, love the sound when reving but i can't stand the humming at idle will replacing the filter help the humming?

take it off???? idk i cant even hear mine hum unless im ouside lol so i guess deal with it or try getting a diff filter lol

Nope, the hum ads to the charm... kinda futuristic like a spaceship... It is an aquired taste. Love it.

wtf is a hum! i have SRI's on all my cars and dont have any "hum" at all. stop buying cheap intakes!!!

Its the filter.. cheap filters are louder than good ones.

told ya it was gonna hum. I got so sick of mine I ripped it off and replaced it with a cold air w/ k&n cone and the hum went away. if you have a cheap aluminum tube, it's probably gonna resonate with a new filter, but I would try that first. My K&N was a different width than my sri so i had to just put the CAI on. I hated the hum, my friend said he could hear me coming from a block or 2 away. Now, my cl is style again. K&N cone that's your only hope

My intake is not cheap and I have the K&N filter amd it hums, so it will not matter. Some intake designs hum. Just the way it is. Good luck.
