Redoing center caps?

Redoing center caps?

Hey guys. So i just bought four honda accord mags, just like these:


As i will redo the four mags including the center caps in gunmetal color, i was wondering if it would be possible to somehow integrate the acura logo on the center cap?

I have several ideas.

1-using a CNC machine to machine the logo (freaking expensive)

2-Use a dremel on a template to carve the logo, and then apply black paint into the grove, after painting the cap gunmetal. (of course, all that will be followed by a shitload of clearcoat!

3-making a template out of carboard, and spray black paint, this will create the imprint of the logo on the cap.

4-spraying the cap with black primer to beggin with, and then create the logo with masking tape, and spray gunmetal on the cap. When the masking tape will be removed, the black acura logo will be showing.

5-buying small acura logo stickers. Stick on the center cap after the gunmetal spray and then add a shitload of clearcoat on the cap.


What do you guys think i should do. I dont want to be rolling with H on the mags :P

Well only thing i could think of out of the options you listed would be buying acura stickers and placing them on the centercap. But i dont think i would leave the sticker there, And i also would assume you would have to fill in the H logo with some kinda putty ? paint the center cap black..Place the sticker in the center. Paint it gunmetal then remove sticker and clear coat! But that would also mean you would need to paint your rims black first to get the same shade as the cap. =/ Good luck.

You would have to fill in the H's first with some bondo and repaint them so you couldn't see the H's, but then you could def put some A emblems on there

Hmm. I can't find any stickers!

Is it possible to custom make em?

You could cut out the A pattern from something and use that. Maybe try and google the A..Print it out..cut it out etc. just an idea =/

You can have anything made... Go to a vinyl place (like places that do signs and such) and ask them if they can make something like it.
