Hi folks,

Got myself a nice weekend cabin in the Tahoe mountains with some friends, and my 99 CL 3.0 is going to need snow chains to deal with the weather. Do you recommend a particular brand of chains to go with my stock 16" tyres & rims? I hear Costco is good, but the nearest Costco that sells snow chains is 80 miles away.

GET CABLES ONLY FOR PASSENGER CARS

you do not want to fuck anything up, have them installed professionally by one of the guys up there

 

if you want to go to costco you could go to the one in Folsom right on the way to Tahoe. Or you could go to Les Schwab and if you don't use em you can get your money back in the spring. There are also lots of places to get them installed along the way (Pollock Pines, Kyburz, etc.)

 

since your in the bay area go to a les schwab and ask for the diamond quick fit chains. They have there own tensioners and they take about 2 minutes to put on, and you don't have to move the car. Trust me dude, I work at les schwab up in Washington and they have sizes that fit most tire sizes. If you have any questions PM me.
