I would recommend that you take it to a shop, they would check it for leaks before filling. In NYC that would cost about 80 bucks. I had it checked and I had a hole in my condensor. [/QUOTE]
I agree. Recharging in not a maintance item. Freon doesn't dissapear or get worn down. If you need to recharge, you have a leak somewhere. It should be checked out by an experienced mechanic. Freon can be dangerous to work with.

yea...take it to a shop. Me and a friend recharged his g/f's ac...its rather difficult...not to many people i know can do it...but my friend is a car genius. Its well worth the money vs. the efforts of yourself.
