recalls are free no matter what, the recall is the ignition. go to acura website and you will see the instructions from there.

It doesn't surprise me that there's a waiting list!

I haven't followed through just yet, but I expect a delay.

Parts aren't availalbe yet

I just got my car back from Acura (100k tune up, etc.). They said that they haven't recieved any replacement parts from Acura yet so they can't do the recall yet. They sort of acted like it may be a while before they get the parts too... hmmmmm. Guess i'll just have to wait some more. BTW: This was at Don Mealy Acura in Longwood, Florida.

I just bought it used in January, had 28k on it at the time. It was probably just sitting in some grandma's garage for several years. Actually got 34k on it now. Anyway, no word yet from Acura on when the recall parts will be available. The guy at my shop said probably not till end of summer, but if you're having a problem from it they'd find a way to fix it fast. I'm not gonna worry about mine yet, seems to be workig fine.

Just FYI on this recall (if we're talking about the emissions one):

A) It does not expire. Ever. (from what I was told)
B) If you can hold off until 75K miles instead of going after 50K they'll replace your plugs, wires, etc as well as the exhaust parts. I had about 60K when the recall came out and since it wasn't affecting me, just the environment, I have no problem waiting until 75K and having them take care of everything free.....
