Rebuilding a ’98 2.3 CL engine???

Hey gang!!! Here’s a question for you. I have a ’98 CL that is just about in perfect shape. It almost has 150K miles and I know the engine will not last forever. The car has been nothing but good luck to me and if the engine goes I’d hate to get rid of it (and truthfully there are no new cars at this point that I am interested in). Has anyone swapped out a rebuilt engine in this car? What about doing something to increase performance at the same time? What kind of cost are we looking at? Any good sources?

Thanks!

Some have done an H22a swap. That will give you a horsepower increase.

yeah it goes down, not so much that it bothers me though. Remember, higher redline (spinning faster) and more power, not to mention that you'll be getting on it more also!
